On the Camões Route - Constância
The Heritage of Pomonas Camonianas
By the hand of Camões, the Lusiads were written, and through the people of Constância, this village has turned into a poem. During the celebrations of Portugal Day, Camões Day, and the Portuguese Communities Day, Constância travels back to the 16th century. Throughout the village, the festivities celebrate the greatest name in our history and the achievements of the Portuguese immortalized in his literary work.

Hiking Experience
We begin this route in Barquinha walking part of the GR12 E7, the trans-European great route, following the Tagus River to
Tancos where we take the boat to visit the Templar castle of Almourol.
Back on the banks, we proceed to Praia do Ribatejo and the mouth of the Zêzere River, where we can spot Constância.
Crossing the Eiffel bridge, we enter the "Poem Village" where, among so much to see, we highlight the visit to the Camões Garden (Horto), a garden steeped in the history of the epic of the discoveries and the Camões Memorial House, a cultural monument built over the ruins of a 16th-century house where, according to tradition, Luís de Camões lived during his exile in Ribatejo (between 1548 and 1550).
We created this exclusive trip where you are invited to immerse yourself in a day dedicated to Templar history and the festivities of Constância and Camões, the Pomonas Camonianas.
We finish our route with our typical final toast.
